Our Team Jake Nonnemaker CEO/President As our CEO & President, Jake Nonnemaker oversees the overall management and direction of the company. He specializes in everything from technical product development and support to business development, project management, sales, vendor relationships and building client relationships. Jake holds a B.S. in Engineering with a minor in Computer Science, and is also certified with Microsoft as an MCSE and MCP. A former engineer and computer specialist for the County of Los Angeles and the Army Corps of Engineers, Jake brings 20 years of experience to his position at AXICOM. In his time away from the office, Jake enjoys serving as a Scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troop 775, being a member of ProVisors, and serving on the East Ventura County Employer Advisory Council and the President’s Council of Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Ventura County. His hobbies include hiking, fishing and maker space activities. Christa Nonnemaker Business Development Christa Nonnemaker’s expertise lies in marketing and business development, and she creates newsletters & e-newsletters, social media promotions, as well as overseeing event coordination, human resources and other administrative responsibilities. She also brings us 15 years of marketing experience, offering both the management and creative skills to keep AXICOM in the spotlight. In her time away from the office, Christa enjoys playing tennis, reading, hiking and being with her family. David Tierney Technical Operations Manager, Solutions Consultant David Tierney specializes in server and network maintenance, configuration and troubleshooting. He brings thirteen years of technical experience to AXICOM having held positions as an IT Helpdesk Technician, an IT Support Technician and a Service Coordinator. In his spare time, he enjoys roller hockey, do-it yourself projects, and spending time with his family. Mike Kurtz Director of Customer Success As the Director of Customer Success, Mike is responsible for working with our clients to provide the best possible business Cybersecurity and Network Management through Axicom's many tools and applications. He has meetings with our clients to make sure they are protected from the new and emerging threats that businesses face today. Mike holds a B.S. in Information Systems Security and is certified as an MCP, with CompTIA certifications in Networking and Security. Mike brings 25 years of experience in business technology advisement, network planning, IT budgeting and project management. His hobbies include woodworking and epoxy projects, camping in his old RV, and wine making. Melanie Vollbrecht Administration Melanie has worked in the IT field for over 17 years and is familiar with all the systems to keep an IT company running smoothly. Melanie maintains HR, A/R, A/P, and overall office departments. She has represented our company serving on the Simi Valley Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors heading the Legislative Chair for over 5 years. Melanie enjoys reading, crocheting, and crafting of all kinds. Mark Vining System Administrator & Developer With over 17 years of experience in the dynamic field of Information Technology, Mark brings a wealth of expertise to every project. As a seasoned system administrator, he has demonstrated proficiency in managing complex IT infrastructures, optimizing system performance, and ensuring seamless operations for organizations of varying scales. Beyond his administrative prowess, Mark possesses a flair for development, with proficiency in various programming languages and frameworks. This unique blend of skills allows him to not only troubleshoot technical issues but also to devise innovative solutions tailored to meet the specific needs of each project. Outside of the professional sphere, Mark is a passionate creator, channeling his creativity into crafting video games and producing music. This creative outlet not only serves as a source of personal fulfillment but also underscores his ability to think outside the box and approach challenges with a fresh perspective. Erich Sparks IT Systems Support Technician Erich Sparks' experience lies in more than fifteen years of website development, IT systems support, customer service, and software and hardware troubleshooting. He has held positions as lead web developer, lead technician, and IT Systems Support Technician. In his free time, you can find Erich on a hike, spying on birds, hitting the slopes, or lounging on the couch with his animals. David Anderson IT Systems Support Technician. David Anderson is experienced in Help Desk Support, Customer Service, and Network Administration. He has 6 years of experience providing technical support to customers and troubleshooting various network and hardware issues. In his free time David enjoys snowboarding, hiking, mountain biking, and tabletop/video gaming. Jeanette Fox Administrative Assistant/Dispatcher Jeanette is involved in a variety of administrative duties at AXICOM including fielding phone calls, managing incoming tickets, managing billing items, as well as some marketing activities. In her free time, Jeanette enjoys spending time with her family, cooking new recipes, watching movies, reading, and playing new & old card games and board games. Thomas Nonnemaker IT Specialist Assistant As an Assistant IT Specialist at AXICOM, Thomas is involved in a diverse range of responsibilities. He is primarily responsible for efficiently setting up customer products for delivery, ensuring that they are properly configured and ready for use upon arrival. Additionally, Thomas performs assigned tasks as directed. Thomas proactively seeks out new information about the IT industry, staying abreast of emerging technologies, trends, and best practices. Thomas also takes time for self-directed learning to enhance his technical skills and knowledge. Thomas’ role an Assistant IT Specialist at AXICOM requires a strong dedication to customer service, technical expertise, and a continuous learning mindset. Thomas’ hobbies include graphic design, physical fitness, bowling, pickleball, going out in nature, fishing, backpacking, hiking, and camping.
