With all the social networking going on, I rarely have time to consistently update or check on all my favorite websites. But when waiting in line at the grocery or having lunch at the Habit, I'm thankful that I can check on my Facebook using my Blackberry.
Facebook for Blackberry version 1.5 was released in March 2009 and is a marked improvement over the previous version 1.2. With Facebook for Blackberry, you can:
- view/send/reply to messages
- view/post a status update
- upload photos from your Blackberry
- check recent update of friends
- view/add friends
- write on the wall of friends
The interface of Facebook for Blackberry is simple and easy to navigate. You can even match your friends in Facebook to their corresponding contact in your Blackberry address book which is a nice feature. There is also Blackberry calendar integration for Facebook birthdays and such.
I recommend Facebook for Blackberry v1.5 especially if you are using the older v1.2.
Facebook for Blackberry requires a data plan (Internet connection) on your Blackberry from your wireless service provider. You can download it by browsing to facebook.com from your Blackberry.
