Flash technology has become a wedge between one-time BFFs Apple and Adobe. Flash is a proprietary technology developed by Adobe and used by to make cool web graphics, animations, videos and games.
But Steve Jobs and Apple have
decided that Flash isn't all that and have opted to not support Flash in the iPad, iPod and iPhone. What's that mean to you and me? Well, iPads and iPhone are one of the fastest selling Internet devices in history. If the trend continues and iPhone OS devices and become the preferred choice of most people for accessing the Internet, then web developers will have to dump Flash in favor of open-standard technologies like HTML5 to reach the legions of iPad/iPhone users.
HTML5 is which is also heavily promoted by Google. With heavy-weights like Apple and Google against it, things don't look good for Adobe's Flash.
